The Alliance maintains e-mail communications with Novgorod physicians, the city administration, and individuals in charge of cultural programs. The Alliance initiated Inova Fairfax Hospital’s participation with the NASA Telemedicine Project between U.S. hospitals and hospitals in Moscow in 1994. Pen pal exchanges have been initiated between children from Northern Virginia and children in the Novgorod Oblast.
